Canada Issues 4,000 ITAs in the latest Express Entry Draw

In the French-language proficiency category draw conducted on April 15th, 2026, 4,000 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) have been issued. Candidates who submitted their Express Entry profile before November 14th, 2025, 7:14 a.m. UTC, and who had a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 419 and above were considered for the draw.

This Express Entry draw targeting French-speaking candidates issued fewer invitations when compared to the earlier draws held in 2026. The cut-off score is also higher than that of the previous French-language draws held in the year. IRCC's selective approach, even with French-language proficiency as a key pathway for permanent residence, is evident. Candidates with strong French language proficiency will continue to have a better advantage in category-based selections.

It is the fourth draw under the Express Entry's French category in 2026, and it is the twenty-third Express Entry draw of the year. IRCC has issued 65,154 ITAs so far across the different draw types.
