Alberta has issued 722 invitations to workers seeking a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence through the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP).
The selections took place through three different pathways between September 1 and September 9, 2026, with the province prioritizing workers already connected to Alberta’s labour market.\
The Alberta Opportunity Stream accounted for the majority of invitations. 575 candidates were selected with scores of at least 56. Another 96 candidates were invited through the Accelerated Tech Pathway. The minimum score for the pathway was 60. Healthcare remained another key priority, with 51 professionals receiving invitations through the Dedicated Health Care Pathway – Express Entry.
