New Brunswick PNP 2026: 379 Invitations Issued Across Three Streams

New Brunswick PNP 2026 has kicked off with its first set of draws conducted between January 13 and January 15. Through these New Brunswick Provincial Nominee Program (NBPNP) draws, 379 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) has been issued. The draws were conducted in the three streams—New Brunswick Express Entry Stream, New Brunswick Skilled Worker Stream, and New Brunswick Strategic Initiative Stream. The draws imply New Brunswick’s focus on skilled migration to support the economic need of the province. This first selection of the year mainly targets candidates who have strong connections to the province.

Of the different streams, the Skilled Worker Stream has the maximum ITAs issued, with 244 invitations. The stream focused on applicants with New Brunswick work experience and recent graduates from designated post-secondary institutions employed in non-seasonal jobs.

Under the Strategic Initiative Stream, 115 ITAs were issued. This stream, which is for French-speaking foreign applicants with provincial ties, has been paused in 2025.

Through the Express Entry Stream, 20 ITAs were issued. In order to receive an invitation under the system, candidates must have

  • had an updated Express Entry Profile
  • continuous residency for 12 months in New Brunswick
  • been currently employed in a non-seasonal TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 role in New Brunswick
  • been a full-time employee in a TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 role for the past 12 months

Candidates who received a nomination from the province through the Express Entry will also get 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points, increasing their chance immensely for PR through the federal system.

The first NBPNP draw of 2026 reflects the province’s efforts to nominate candidates with provincial ties who will meet the labour market requirement.
