The 9 July 2026 British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP) targeted occupation-based draw issued no less than 343 invitations. The invitations were issued to highly qualified skilled workers to apply for provincial nomination in key sectors facing persistent labour shortages.
This is the 8th Skills Immigration (SI) draw held by British Columbia in the year 2026. The draws were held across childcare, healthcare, veterinary care, and construction trades. It was held as part of two out of three of its established core objectives (care and build) in alignment with its provincial nomination priorities, which were reshuffled. 136 invitations were issued to construction trades occupational category workers, 116 for healthcare professionals, 91 for childcare workers, and fewer than five invitations for veterinary care occupations. The minimum score required ranged from 88 to 108.
Prospective applicants with experience in these priority occupations are encouraged to maintain active immigration profiles. They must also monitor future BCPNP draws, as the province continues to prioritize skilled workers who can contribute to its labour market needs.
