The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) invited 367 candidates to apply for provincial nomination for permanent residence through five selection rounds. The draws were held between August 4 and August 12, 2026. The latest draws targeted candidates with experience in priority sectors, including healthcare, agriculture, and technology.
The largest draw issued 127 invitations through the Rural Renewal Stream, with a minimum score of 51. Alberta also invited 95 candidates through the Accelerated Tech Pathway, 57 through the Dedicated Health Care Pathway, 50 under the healthcare priority sector, and 38 through the agriculture priority sector.
As of August 12, Alberta had issued 11,215 invitations in 2026. The province had used 4,184 of its 6,603 nomination spaces, leaving 2,419 spots for the remainder of the year.
