British Columbia has invited 33 workers to apply for provincial nomination through its Temporary Rural/Remote Health Support Initiative (TRHSI). The invitations were issued on September 17, 2026, marking the program’s second draw.
Candidates needed a minimum score of 60 points, up from 50 in the previous draw, which invited 60 workers. The latest round brings total TRHSI invitations to 93.
The initiative targets eligible cleaners and security workers employed full-time by B.C. public health authorities in qualifying rural or remote areas. Applicants generally need at least nine months of continuous full-time employment with the same employer and region.
Registration remains open until October 7, 2026, with B.C. planning to nominate up to 250 workers through the initiative.
