Newfoundland and Labrador has invited 445 immigration candidates in its latest provincial selection held on 28th July. This draw is one of the largest invitation rounds of the province in 2026.
The invitations were issued through the Newfoundland and Labrador Provincial Nominee Program (NLPNP) and the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP). 400 invitations were sent through the NLPNP, while 45 were issued through the AIP.
The province continues to use targeted immigration draws to fill vacancies in key sectors such as healthcare, construction, technology, hospitality, and other in-demand occupations. Various factors such as work experience, education, language ability, and whether the applicants have a job offer from a Newfoundland and Labrador employer are considered for assessing the candidate.
To be eligible for the draw, candidates have to first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) through the province's Immigration Accelerator Portal. Invitations are then issued to individuals whose profiles align with the provincial labour market needs and immigration priorities.
