The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) has accelerated its application processing times. Most provincial nomination streams are now being finalized within two weeks.
As per the latest processing time data for the second quarter of 2026 (April 1 to June 30) the application processing time either improved or remained stable across all SINP streams. No category experienced longer wait times.
Out of the nine application streams, five of them recorded faster processing compared to the previous quarter. Processing times for the International Skilled Worker – Employment Offer stream, the Agriculture Talent Pathway, and the Saskatchewan Experience – Existing Work Permit category were reduced from three weeks to two weeks. The Innovation and Tech Talent Pathway and the Health Talent Pathway continued to maintain a two-week processing time. Other streams, including Entrepreneur, International Graduate Entrepreneur, Farm Owner and Operator, and Hard-to-Fill Skills Pilot, reported no increase in wait times.
The faster processing reflects Saskatchewan's efforts to streamline the immigration processing with its efforts to maximize reduced federal nomination allocation and addressing labour market needs. The improved processing time will help employers fill critical labour shortages faster and support eligible foreign workers in securing provincial nominations.
