Manitoba has issued hundreds of invitations under its provincial immigration program, thereby continuing its efforts to attract skilled professionals.
In its latest selection round on September 24, 2026, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program invited 474 candidates to move forward with applications for provincial nomination. A major focus of the draw was workers in science, technology, engineering and mathematics-related fields.
Among those selected, 417 candidates were invited from natural and applied sciences and related occupations. Applicants in this category needed a minimum ranking score of 760. Manitoba also issued invitations through strategic recruitment initiatives, while French-speaking applicants and a family physician were included among the other selections.
Those who receive a Letter of Advice to Apply have 60 days to submit their complete provincial nomination application. If approved, nominees can then apply to the federal government for permanent residence in Canada.
The latest round brings Manitoba’s total number of invitations issued in 2026 to 6,883 across 19 draws. The selection demonstrates the province’s ongoing use of targeted immigration pathways to attract workers with skills that align with its labour-market needs.
