Manitoba has conducted its largest immigration draw since September 2025 on July 16 through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP). 2,146 Letters of Advice to Apply (LAAs) for provincial nomination have been issued through this selection round. The selection focused on student graduates, skilled workers in Manitoba and overseas, and French speakers.
The majority of invitations which is 1,982 invitations, were issued under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba pathway. Of these, 1,874 went to candidates who completed post-secondary education in Manitoba, while 84 invitations were extended to francophone applicants and 24 to healthcare professionals working in eligible occupations. Another 86 invitations were issued through strategic recruitment initiatives under the Skilled Worker Stream, covering both in-province and overseas candidates. Further, 78 invitations were granted through the International Education Stream's Graduate Internship Pathway, aimed at recent master's and doctoral graduates who completed eligible Mitacs internships and met language requirements.
Manitoba noted that some eligible candidates who met the draw requirements may not have received a Letter of Advice to Apply (LAA). This may be due to details that are incomplete or invalid listed in their Expression of Interest (EOI) profiles. It may be missing, invalid, or expired English or French language test details as well as the absence of a valid strategic recruitment invitation number for candidates claiming selection through a strategic recruitment initiative.
