4,000 Healthcare Professionals Invited to Apply for Canadian Permanent Residence

IRCC has sent Invitations to Apply (ITAs) to 4,000 candidates under the Express Entry draw in healthcare and social services occupations. In this category-based Express Entry draw, which was held on June 25, 2026, candidates who had a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 475 and those who had created an Express Entry candidate profile before 12:14 p.m UTC on May 21, 2026, were considered eligible.

This is the second Healthcare and Social Services category-based draw of 2026 and the 34th Express Entry draw. The category-based draws allow IRCC to target occupations that are in high demand, helping provinces and territories meet workforce needs more effectively. In 2026 so far most Express Entry draws have focused on candidates with Canadian work experience or provincial nominations.

Healthcare continues to be a priority category under Express Entry. Hence, eligible healthcare professionals with competitive CRS scores and qualifying work experience will have strong opportunities to secure permanent residency (PR) in Canada.
