569 candidates have been invited to apply for provincial nomination through the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP). This is British Columbia’s largest provincial immigration selection round of 2026. The 16 July 2026 draw was held under the province’s Skills Immigration (SI) category.
The invitations were issued to candidates who qualified under one of two selection factors: a registration score or a wage/salary requirement linked to a TEER 0–3 job offer. A total of 346 candidates received invitations based on a minimum registration score of 132 points, while 223 candidates were invited based on having a qualifying job offer with an offered wage of at least $58 per hour (approximately $115,000 annually). The province did not release details about the occupations or industries of invited candidates.
The selection round was conducted under British Columbia's new Skills Immigration selection model, known as the Innovate initiative. The initiative focuses on attracting highly skilled candidates with strong economic potential across different sectors. British Columbia has issued at least 3,676 invitations through the Skills Immigration category this year.
