Alberta has sent 380 invitations to workers seeking provincial nomination between September 10 and 23, 2026, under the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP). The selections focused largely on key sectors including healthcare, technology, manufacturing and agriculture.
The largest draws included 113 invitations through the Alberta Opportunity Stream and 100 through the Accelerated Tech Pathway. Another 100 candidates were selected through the healthcare-focused Priority Sector draw. Agriculture and manufacturing accounted for 18 and 48 invitations respectively, while fewer than 10 candidates were invited through the Law Enforcement Pathway.
Alberta has conducted 80 provincial immigration draws in 2026 and issued at least 13,089 invitations so far. Candidates who receive provincial nomination can subsequently apply to the federal government for Canadian permanent residence.
