Canada has invited 3,000 candidates to apply for permanent residence through the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) under the Express Entry system. The draw was held on August 5, 2026 and to qualify, candidates were required to have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 516.
Candidates should also have created their Express Entry profiles before 9:35 p.m UTC on July 3, 2026, in accordance with the tie-breaking rule.
This was the 13th CEC-specific draw of 2026. So far this year, IRCC has issued 48,250 ITAs through CEC draws, making it one of the largest Express Entry selection categories. The latest draw indicates the continued focus on candidates with Canadian work experience, providing eligible temporary residents and skilled workers with an important pathway toward permanent residence.
