Canada has held its first Express Entry selection under the revamped transport occupations category. The August 7, 2026 draw invited 300 candidates to apply for permanent residence. To qualify, candidates were required to have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 470 and create their Express Entry profiles before October 11, 2025, at 2:55 p.m. UTC.
The latest selection marks the return of targeted invitations for transportation professionals under the updated category. Canada revised the transport category to better match the immigration selection with the needs of the labor market.
Successful candidates receiving an invitation to apply have the opportunity to submit a permanent residence application, subject to meeting all applicable requirements.
