The Quebec Business/Entrepreneur Program
Quebec Entrepreneur Program (QEP)
The Quebec Entrepreneur Program (QEP) offers a golden chance for business people to obtain permanent residence in Canada, which is usually not possible for them under the other skilled worker categories.
Though Canada offers a lot of benefits to those who start a business in the country, it has set the criteria for business migration high. Business people enjoy great tax incentives in the country, and the booming private sector economy of Canada is another significant advantage. Besides, Canada’s passport offers a kind of security to the business people, which is priceless.
Eligibility criteria for Quebec Entrepreneur Program
- Assets worth at least $300,000 or equivalent funds that are legally obtained
- Two years of full-time experience in running a business earned within the past five years
- The business you owned was in profit
- You had at least 25% of ownership
Besides meeting these requirements, you must submit proof for one of the following options:

- You have purchased a minimum of 25% ownership of a business in Quebec and invested a minimum of $100,000. You are actively involved in the day-to-day operations of the business
