NSNP PROGRAMS
The Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) allows prospective immigrants with the skills and experience required by Nova Scotia to apply for permanent residence in Canada.
NOVA SCOTIA DEMAND: EXPRESS ENTRY:
This Express Entry-aligned program requires the applicant to be a skilled worker. They must have an active Express Entry profile, besides a job offer in Nova Scotia or a necessary level of experience in an opportunity occupation in Nova Scotia.
NOVA SCOTIA EXPERIENCE: EXPRESS ENTRY:
This Express Entry-aligned program requires the applicant to be a skilled worker with a minimum of one year of work experience in Nova Scotia in a highly skilled occupation. They must also be ready to settle in the province permanently.
ENTREPRENEUR CATEGORY:
This by-invitation-only program requires you to be an experienced business owner or senior business manager to be eligible. You must also be willing to live and work in Nova Scotia. The program further requires you to start a new business or buy an existing business and actively participate in the day-to-day management of the business.
INTERNATIONAL GRADUATE ENTREPRENEUR CATEGORY:
Another by-invitation-only category, this one requires you to be a recent graduate of a Nova Scotia university or the Nova Scotia Community College. You must have already started or bought a business in Nova Scotia and have operated it for at least one year.
SKILLED WORKER CATEGORY
To be eligible, you need to have a valid job offer from a Nova Scotia employer.
