NORTHWEST TERRITORIES NOMINEE PROGRAM

The Northwest Territories Nominee Program (NWTP) aims to help employers in the Northwest Territories secure the workforce they need for their businesses. If an employer fails to find a suitable candidate for a vacant position locally or nationally, they can look for foreign workers with the required level of skills and experience.

NWTNP PROGRAMS

Express Entry

You may be eligible for the Express Entry-aligned immigration program of Northwest Territories if you are a skilled worker with an active Express Entry profile and a job offer from a qualified employer of Northwest Territories. You must also be ready to work and live in the Northwest Territories.

EMPLOYER DRIVEN

Entry Level/Semi-Skilled Occupations

You must have a valid job offer for a semi-skilled or unskilled position from a Northwest Territories employer. You must also have worked in the same position in the Northwest Territories for a period of a minimum of six months.

SKILLED WORKER

To be eligible, you must have a valid job offer for a skilled position from a Northwest Territories employer.

BUSINESS DRIVEN

ENTREPRENEUR

To be eligible, you must be an entrepreneur or owner-operator of a business and wish to set up a business in the Northwest Territories. The business can be of any economic sector. However, the businesses that introduce a new product or a product that is of significant benefit to the Northwest Territories will get priority.
