MANITOBA PROVINCIAL NOMINEE PROGRAM (MPNP)
Most of the immigration programs under MPNP are not aligned to Express Entry, and those who wish to apply must first submit an Expression of Interest.
SKILLED WORKERS IN MANITOBA STREAM
To be eligible to apply under this Stream, you must be a skilled worker with a long-term, full-time job offer from a Manitoba employer. You also need to have at least six months of continuous full-time work experience with this employer as a temporary foreign worker or a graduate of international students.
There are two pathways under the Stream:
Manitoba Experience Pathway
You may be eligible if you are:
- A skilled worker in Manitoba; or
- An international student graduated outside of Manitoba; or
- An international student graduated from a Manitoba institution but working in an occupation not listed on Manitoba’s In-Demand Occupation List.
Employer Direct Recruitment Pathway
Those with an employment offer from a pre-approved Manitoba employer are eligible under this pathway.
SKILLED WORKERS OVERSEAS STREAM
To be eligible, you must be a skilled worker and have an established connection to Manitoba through:
- Support of family members or friends; or
Work/education experience in the province; or
Invitation to Apply for provincial nomination received directly from the MPNP as part of a Strategic Recruitment Initiative.
Skilled Workers Overseas Stream has two pathways:
Human Capital Pathway
To be eligible, you must be a skilled worker, and your experience and skills must align with one of the occupations listed in the In-demand list of Manitoba.
Manitoba Express Entry Pathway
This pathway is aligned to the Express Entry system and to be eligible, the candidate must have:
- An active Express Entry profile
- Work experience in an in-demand occupation of the province
- Minimum 60 points on the Manitoba Skilled Worker points assessment grid.
BUSINESS INVESTOR STREAM
The new Business Investor Stream replaces the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program for Business (MPNP-B).
The Business Investor Stream has two pathways:
Entrepreneur pathway
To be eligible, you must be seeking to set up and operate a business in Manitoba and have a minimum personal net worth of $500,000.
Farm investor Pathway
To be eligible, you must have a minimum of three years of experience in farm business management or farm ownership and operation experience. You must also have a personal net worth of at least $350,000 and must intend to open and operate a farm in Manitoba.
INTERNATIONAL EDUCATION STREAM
International Education Stream for international student graduates has only one pathway- the Career Employment Pathway. International students who graduated from Manitoba and working in an occupation aligned with Manitoba’s In-Demand Occupations List are eligible under this Stream.
